In terms of the Policyholder Rules incorporated in the Long Term Insurance Act, as well as the new Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Bill, I am obliged to disclose certain information to you to enable you to:
- Make an informed decision
- To ensure that Intermediaries and Insurers conduct business honestly, fairly, and with due care.
FULL NAMES
My full names are ALASTAIR JAMES MACKIE. I trade as the sole director of a private company styled AJM ASSET MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES (PTY) LTD, and this is the entity with which you will be contracting as your intermediary.

LEGAL CAPACITY
The company acts as independent financial and investment advisors, insurance brokers and employee benefit consultants. The company has no shareholding in any Insurer, Unit Trusts Company or Medical Aid Scheme.
EXPERIENCE
I have been actively involved in the Financial Service Industry since 1992, and set up my own practice as an independent financial advisor in 1994. I have an MSc degree, am a member of FPI, and have qualified as an AFP, and have submitted my registration as a Financial Adviser with the FSB.

Professional Indemnity Insurance is in place with Marsh (South Africa) up to a maximum limit of indemnity of R 2 million per event.
FEES
No fees are payable directly to the company by you for any services rendered, unless mutually so agreed between ourselves.
The company is remunerated by way of investment advisory fees from the Linked Product Service Provider of Unit Trust or Asset Management Company with whom business is placed on your behalf. Where business is placed with an Insurer , commissions are payable by such insurer to the company. The Insurer concerned will disclose full details of the commission earned by the company to you.
INTEREST IN INSURERS
Neither the company nor I hold a shareholding of more than 10% in any Registered Insurer. EARNINGS DISCLOSURE
Neither the company nor I earned more than 30% of our total remuneration, during the past calendar year, from any one Insurer.
I confirm that advice given by Alastair James Mackie has taken cognizance of your personal and financial situation, and any recommendations have been taken with due consideration to these. You will receive a minute of meetings, and will have the opportunity to change any notes made in the minutes, and accept the minutes as an accurate reflection of our meeting.
